So... what's this page about?
Well, cats. And not just any cats but the cats whose lifes I was
allowed to be a part of. Each of these cats had/has its very own story, personality, (dis)likes, habits.
Before you get to meet them, let me share some basic knowledge with you so you can have a great cat-human
relationship:
- ADOPT, don't shop!
- Cats don't have any concept of personal space. If you are offended by a cat sitting on your kitchen
table, don't get a cat.
- Cats can get bored easily. Make sure you get them toys to play with and spend time with them.
- All cats can be trained, it just takes patience, time and loads of love. If they show unwanted behavior,
YOU did something wrong or they're having health issues.
- BEFORE you get a cat, read books, search Google and - most importantly - get in touch with people who
can teach you. Even better: take care of cats in an animal shelter to see if you really can handle a
cat.
The most crucial thing you need to know: If you're happy to call a cat your friend, you stay
friends with her/him until the cat passes. If you, however, have low morals and decide to surrender the cat,
have the decency to bring the cat to an open admissions shelter or a rescue organization. It's its best chance
of getting rehomed to people who really care.
